Matters Needing Attention in the Use of Gate Valves
1. Handwheel, handle and transmission mechanism are not allowed to be used for lifting, and collision is forbidden. 2. The double gate valve should be installed vertically (i.e. the valve stem is in the vertical position and the handwheel is at the top). 3. The gate valve with bypass valve should be opened before opening (to balance the pressure difference between inlet and outlet and reduce the opening force). 4. Gate valve with transmission mechanism shall be installed according to the product instruction manual. 5. If the valve is frequently opened and closed, lubricate it at least once a month. 6. Gate valves are only used for fully opening and closing all kinds of pipelines or equipment, and are not allowed to be used for throttling. 7. For gate valves with handwheels or handles, no additional auxiliary levers shall be added during operation (in case of lax sealing, check and repair the sealing surface or other parts). Turn the handwheel and handle clockwise to close, and
vice versa to open. Gate valve with transmission mechanism shall be used according to the product instruction manual.
